“Non Luoghi” è un progetto fotografico che esplora gli spazi di passaggio della città — quei luoghi che attraversiamo ogni giorno senza realmente guardarli. Sono spazi di servizio, nati per la funzionalità più che per la permanenza, ma che, proprio per questo, diventano punti d’osservazione privilegiati: finestre marginali da cui la città si lascia intravedere in modo intimo e inaspettato.
Questi luoghi, raramente percepiti come spazi di osservazione, si collocano invece in posizioni centrali, capaci di restituire visioni urbane spesso più autentiche e democratiche di quelle riservate ai suoi abitanti privilegiati. Attraverso l’obiettivo, l’ordinario si trasforma in esperienza visiva, rivelando come l’invisibile possa farsi materia poetica e critica al tempo stesso.
“Non Luoghi” si muove tra documentazione e contemplazione: un’indagine sullo sguardo e sulla soglia, dove distanza e prossimità coesistono. La serie invita a sostare — a riconoscere il valore percettivo e simbolico di spazi pensati per essere attraversati, non abitati — e a riscoprire la città da prospettive che appartengono a tutti, ma che quasi nessuno vede.
“Non-Places” is a photographic project that explores the transitional spaces of the city — those places we pass through every day without truly seeing them. These are service spaces, designed more for functionality than for permanence, yet precisely for this reason, they become privileged vantage points: marginal windows through which the city reveals itself in an intimate and unexpected way.
These places, rarely perceived as spaces of observation, are in fact positioned at the very heart of the urban landscape, capable of offering views that are often more authentic and democratic than those reserved for its privileged inhabitants. Through the lens, the ordinary transforms into a visual experience, revealing how the invisible can become both poetic and critical matter.
“Non-Places” moves between documentation and contemplation — an inquiry into gaze and threshold, where distance and proximity coexist. The series invites us to pause, to recognize the perceptive and symbolic value of spaces conceived to be crossed rather than inhabited, and to rediscover the city from perspectives that belong to everyone, yet are rarely seen.
